The Best of British Weather can Buck OFF
The hot, dry June, the wettest July in history, a brief OK spell in August followed by the craziest September ever. We are not impressed!
Harvest Time
A time when farmers get to reap what they sow, (quite literally) and a time when as a horse owner I get excited at the prospect of being surrounded by stubble fields.

The scene is set
The fields are cut, the crops are in and there is an ever appealing window before the fields are ploughed, drilled and seed laid for next year when the chance to really stretch those legs is available. We live in an area where 99% of farmers recoil in horror at letting the local hunt charge across their land leaving a trail of hoofprints so when the chance to let off steam arises, I am there with bells on! Acres of prime arable land waiting , resting, and just asking to be traversed at high speed.
We Hear Ya!

You know that the horses get excited too, this little lady heard a combine, she knows what is coming and she is ready! albeit a little bit excited!

The recent dry spell has left the ground a bit like cement, so no gallops allowed for now, this has since been followed by deluge after deluge of rain, flash floods and more. Cheers to the best of British Weather, the one to challenge us all. If you don't let us have some fun this year then from my girls and I you can just BUCK OFF!

I guess, the good news is that the harvest is now in, and at least we will all be fed again this year. Sadly, many harvests will have fallen foul of the 'wonderful' weather. Good luck guys, spring is just around the corner.
